Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are set to face off at the box office this weekend, despite the fact that their movies are aimed at men and women, respectively. Presales for the Lively-starring It Ends With Us are through the roof. At the low end is NRG’s $23M forecast, which, even if this $25M co-production falls apart and opens at that level, is still amazing. Presales indicate a $30M+ opening for It Ends With Us, fueled by author Colleen Hoover’s fans. Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to lead its third straight weekend with $50M, down 48%. On Monday, the MCU title starring Reynolds became the second movie this year to pass $400M in the U.S. and Canada. >>>Full Analysis |
