The event returned to its customary format for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the world. Over 50 heads of state and government attended, including President Yoon Suk-yeol of South Korea and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines. Along with discussions about pressing global issues like the Chinese economy and supply chain disruptions, technology was another theme at the meeting, with the chiefs of Intel, Qualcomm and IBM talking about industry prospects.
