After three years of general mayhem, the housing market is starting to look more "normal." Or at least, it's looking as normal as a housing market can look. After historic lows followed by a meteoric rise, mortgage interest rates are coasting back to the mid-fives. Home prices have broken their skyward trek and are now settling a few percentage points below their peak. Most markets are still experiencing a housing shortage, but the decrease in demand has made searching for a home a bit more palatable.
