It was neither trick nor treat as SAG-AFTRA and the studios plan to continue talking over the next few days in search of a deal to end the 111-day strike that has become a Hollywood nightmare.
On Halloween, the sides started negotiating mid-morning and stopped around 2 p.m. PT, as scheduled. Sources on both sides tell Deadline the guild and the AMPTP plan more talks today. Further deliberations into the latter part of the week are penciled in if necessary, a source close to the talks indicated.
“This is where people earn their salaries, it’s the hard work of making sure everyone has something to walk away with,” an industry insider says of the last few days of negotiations, noting there’s “still a lot to do” before a new three-year contract is sealed. >>>Why Studios Are Sweating

🕯 Tyler Christopher, best known for playing Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital, has died. He was 50. His passing was confirmed on the Instagram account of GH star Maurice Benard. Reports indicate he died from a “cardiac event” in his San Diego apartment Tuesday. Christopher was on GH from 1996 to 2016. He also co-starred as Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives, which earned him a Daytime Emmy. He was previously nominated four times for his work on the soaps. 🕯 Judy Nugent, the former ’50s child actor who co-starred with Jane Wyman in Magnificent Obsession, Annette Funicello in the popular Annette serial on ABC’s The Mickey Mouse Club and flew in the arms of George Reeves’ Superman in a 1954 episode of The Adventures of Superman, died of cancer on October 26, surrounded by family at her ranch in Montana.
