ITV, which has been linked for several months with a potential All3Media buy, is still monitoring the situation, Deadline understands, and remains in the running. Sony and Fremantle, among others, ruled themselves out earlier this year. Film and TV crew members and support staff have been hit hard by the double Hollywood strikes. The latest relief effort, announced last month, comes from Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman, Paul McCrane and Paul Scheer, who are spearheading a live fundraising event in partnership with The Union Solidarity Coalition. Titled Give Back-ular Spectacular! , the two-hour variety show at The Orpheum Theatre, which will be live-streamed, will showcase about 30 performers, including Jeremy Allen White, Halle Berry, Bryan Cranston, Lily Tomlin, Lil Dicky, LeVar Burton, Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt. In terms of showrunner duties, “this might be the hardest one because we have fewer people working on it and we’re doing everything,” Kauffman told Deadline. >>> Read The Interview |

OBITUARIES 🕯 Dusty Street, one of the first female disc jockeys on the West Coast, died Saturday in Eugene, Oregon. She was 77. She was most recently the host of SiriusXM Deep Tracks, but is best known for her time working at KROQ-FM. The station became a force in punk and new wave music in the late ’70s into the 1980s. 🕯 Elaine Devry , whose career spanned film and dozens of television shows, died Sept. 20 at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon. She was 93. Her TV resume includes guest starring appearances on Perry Mason, Death Valley Days, 77 Sunset Strip, Bonanza, I Dream of Jeannie, My Three Sons, Family Affair, Marcus Welby, M.D. and Cannon. Devry was the fourth wife of actor Mickey Rooney. 🕯 Haydn Gwynne died Friday following a recent cancer diagnosis. She was 66. Gwynne became an actress in her mid-twenties and first came to notice on television. Gwynne had a celebrated career on stage, receiving four Olivier Award nominations for her performance in the West End productions of City Of Angels, Billy Elliot The Musical, The Threepenny Opera and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. She was also nominated for a Tony Award for Billy Elliot on Broadway in 2009. Gwynne’s other prominent West End roles include Margaret Thatcher in Peter Morgan’s 2013 production The Audience opposite Helen Mirren. 🕯 Bob George, who served as a producer on the dramas Newness, Zoe and Endings, Beginnings, died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a bicycle accident in Silver Lake.
