Revealed: The 2023 LeicestershireLive Business Awards winners     Some of the best businesses in Britain have been honoured at the 2023 LeicestershireLive Business Awards. This year's winners were revealed during a celebration evening at the King Power Stadium – and included food suppliers, equipment manufacturers and construction specialists. The black tie awards were hosted by Olympic silver medallist and former European and Commonwealth 400m champion Iwan Thomas MBE.   To see who the winners were click here

Businessman unveils £5m plan for quintessential English country inn     A Rutland businessman has unveiled £5 million plans to create what he hopes will be the quintessential English country inn. Ryck Turner, who lives in the village of Whissendine, spent more than £3 million buying the Whipper-In hotel and neighbouring buildings in Market Place, Oakham, last year. The 54-year-old entrepreneur plans to spend a further £2 million extending, refurbishing and reshaping the venue, and renaming it The George Inn.   Read more
