Bishop Arts is packed with too many wonderful restaurants. Our map of the area is always among popular on the site, and in it's most recent update I swapped out a few things for a few things — but honestly, it's tough to go wrong eating nearly anywhere in the neighborhood. My most recent journey there took me to Paradiso, to check out its revamped dining room. The design team updated some elements, bringing in new fabrics for some booths and chairs, a whole new set of star booths, and lots of design elements. Diners may or may not have heard that the place also has a new chef, as Preston Paine has moved on to other culinary adventures. While I was there, I tried the turkey melt, which was still on its seasonal lunch menu in summer by popular demand. It is perhaps the best thing I've eaten at Paradiso. There's no particular reason it should be, other than jazzing up the typical turkey melt with avocado spread and garlic aioli. It's standard issue food that is somehow great. Give it a shot.
