BREAKING: Japan Q2 GDP up annualized 2.2%, exceeding pre-COVID level

	Japan Q2 GDP up annualized 2.2%, exceeding pre-COVID level TOKYO -- Japan's economy expanded 0.5% in the April-June quarter, from the previous term, after measures to fight COVID-19 were relaxed.   The seasonally adjusted real gross domestic product for the second quarter translates into an annualized growth rate of 2.2%.   Annualized GDP for the period reached 542.12 trillion yen ($4.07 trillion), exceeding the pre-COVID level of 540.84 trillion yen in October-December 2019.
