Dear ,
Recently, I came across a video on social media that showed people crossing the finish line of a marathon. But this wasn't the usual video featuring marathon winners – this one actually showed those who were last!
That's something we don't see, right? There are always numerous videos and photos of the first person to cross that finish line, smashing open that ribbon. No one ever shows the last ones to cross. Does that mean those people are losers?
Far from it.
The people who finished last weren't ordinary – they were special. There were old people, people on crutches, cancer survivors, people in wheelchairs, people with prosthetic limbs, people with spinal problems and more. 👨🦽
Every single one of them, whether they rolled, limped or walked their way to the finish line, did so with immense joy and pride. You could see it on their faces!!
Honestly speaking, I think this probably meant far more to them than the win meant to those in first and second places. These courageous people tossed aside self-doubt and physical pain to push through and reach the end.
How can you not applaud a spirit like that? 👏
So, as we take stock of the last year before entering the new one, I want you all to look at 2025 differently. If you are feeling like you're the only one who hasn't achieved anything great this year, trust me, you're not!
DO NOT compare yourself to your friends or co-workers who're sharing their 'wins' on social media. You may not realize it, but you have your own set of wins, although they may look different from the socially accepted meaning of the term.
2025 is ending, and you have made it here. You have pushed through problems, overcome obstacles and you've reached the finish line, still standing, head held high.
And that's what really matters.
I hope you can carry that spirit into the New Year and keep moving forward, even if it's not at a speed you initially wanted. Any step forward is progress, and you WILL achieve your goals!
Have a very Happy New Year! 🌟
Cheers
