Federal DEI Staff Put on Paid Leave
Trump said all federal diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) employees must be on paid leave before Wednesday evening. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management sent a memo on Tuesday directing heads of departments to put staff on leave and remove any websites or social media accounts related to diversity and equity, inclusion, and accessibility, by Wednesday, 5 pm.
Shooting at Nashville High School Leaves at Least Two Students Injured
Metro Nashville Police reported that at least two students were injured on Wednesday at Antioch High School, Nashville after another student shot them in the cafeteria. "Antioch High School has been placed on lockdown because shots were fired in the building." Metro Police is on the scene. In a press release, the school district stated, "The person responsible for the shooting is no threat anymore. We will gather students in the auditorium to provide information about reunification."
