'Ferrari' Revs Up - Michael Mann's epic about racing legend and carmaker Enzo Ferrari, starring Adam Driver and Penélope Cruz, has been acquired by Parasite distributor Neon, Deadline reported exclusively. A Christmas Day 2023 theatrical release date has been set after the North American rights deal was struck in a competitive situation with A24, another studio and a streamer also in the mix. 'Oak' Planted - Zeitgeist Films and Kino Lorber have acquired all U.S. rights to Ken Loach’s Cannes Competition entry The Old Oak, Deadline reported exclusively. The film could be the veteran filmmaker’s last. The Dish: Sundance On The Move? - Sources tell Deadline that the Sundance Film Festival has been fielding bids from a handful of cities to relocate the festival and market from its Park City, UT home. Among the places in the mix in what Deadline understands are very preliminary talks is Santa Fe, NM. Sundance insiders are saying the festival is not looking to relocate anything beyond a Sundance Labs program during the period when the Sundance Resort (36 miles outside of Park City) is undergoing construction. In a departure from Season 1, Netflix has dropped the first five episodes of Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer at once, with plans to stream the remaining five episodes in August. Co-showrunner/co-creator Ted Humphrey talks about the relative ease at which they were able to pull off the split for the second season, which is based on Michael Connelly’s fourth book in the series. Ice Cube is set to star opposite Dave Bautista in The Killer’s Game, the Lionsgate action comedy from Day Shift director JJ Perry. Ben Kingsley and Sofia Boutella are also on board the film, which follows veteran assassin Joe Flood (Bautista), who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself to avoid the pain that is destined to follow. After he finds out he was misdiagnosed, he must fend off the army of former colleagues trying to kill him.

Javier Bardem has rounded the cast of Apple Studios’ untitled F1 movie starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The cast also includes Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and Tobias Menzies. Pitt, who was part of the film's shoot over the weekend at the F1 stop at Silverstone in England, stars as a former driver returning to the sport with fictional team APXGP. Elba plays his teammate. Industry star David Jonsson , Lord of the Rings lead Morfydd Clark and Downton Abbey‘s Penelope Wilton are among the cast of BBC and Britbox International’s latest Agatha Christie adaptation, Murder is Easy . She tells him a killer is on the loose in the sleepy village of Wychwood under Ashe. Though the locals believes the deaths are accidents, Miss Pinkerton knows better and is soon found dead on her way to Scotland Yard. Fitzwilliams is convinced he has to find the killer before they strike again.

🕯 Andrea Evans, the two-time Daytime Emmy-nominated soap opera star best known for playing troublemaking teen Tina Lord on ABC's One Life to Live in the 1970s and '80s, died of cancer at age 66. 🕯 Manny Coto, an Emmy-winning writer-director and producer of the 24 franchise and American Horror Story and creator of NeXt and Odyssey 5 , died after a 13-month battle with pancreatic cancer at age 62.
