The outbreak of war in Ukraine just over a year ago had a major impact on residents there including researchers. This week Horizon Magazine looked at EU-funded actions enabling Ukrainian academics in fields ranging from engineering to humanities to pursue their work and to prepare for an eventual return to help rebuild the country.
