	Hong Kong exodus grows as 140,000 apply for new British visa HONG KONG -- About 140,500 Hong Kongers have applied for a special British visa, with China's sweeping national security law spurring more people to leave in the two years since it was enacted.   Hong Kong's population totaled 7.29 million as of the end of June, down roughly 120,000 from a year earlier and marking the biggest drop since tracking began in 1961.
