She now relies on a grace of her former daughter-in-law, who owns the Connecticut home where Ruth reportedly resides. The home in Old Greenwich, Conn., where Ruth reportedly lives thanks to former daughter-in-law Susan Elkin. Son Andrew (left) died of a rare form of cancer, while his brother Mark killed himself. A source said the latter "messed Bernie up." Mark's widow, Stephanie Mack (left), has reinvented herself as a wardrobe stylist. Andrew's fiancee, Catherine Hooper, has said she received no money after he passed away. "I downsized my life completely," she told People magazine. Bernie's brother Peter was sentenced to 11 years in jail for his role in the scheme and got out of prison in 2020. His daughter, Shana, who also worked for the famly company but was never charged with anything, reportedly has a yoga studio.
