Veterans' Affairs minister threatened to resign from cabinet over funding dispute

The Senate will pause to remember one of their own today, after the death of Labor Senator Kimberley Kitching. 

Condolence speeches will begin just after 10am Canberra time.

Party leaders will deliver the first remarks followed by an open ended speaking list which will take up the duration of the day.

As Kimberley Kitching was a sitting Senator the Senate will then adjourn at the conclusion of the condolences - no other business will be considered today as a mark of respect.

A condolence will be moved for Senator Kimberley Kitching, after which the Senate will adjourn as a mark of respect.
