DoorDash named three Ohio flower shops among the nation’s best local florists for Mother’s Day.

Kirtland Flower Barn in Kirtland, Oberer's Flowers in West Chester, and T Bears Florists & Gifts in Columbus represented the Buckeye State on DoorDash’s list.

The carnation is widely known as the official flower of Mother’s Day. Pink carnations represent gratitude and appreciation, red carnations show love, and white carnations are often used to remember mothers who have died.

Ohioans looking to celebrate Mother’s Day with a touch of nature can reserve brunch spots at several Ohio state parks. Reservations can be made directly through each location.
