More News ✂️ Industry Entertainment manager and producer Dan Spilo was fired for cause after at least one incident of inappropriate behavior on the Australian set of the indie action thriller Runner. Spilo subsequently was dismissed as manager by the film’s star, Alan Ritchson. 📺 AMC Networks this morning reported widespread declines in the first quarter, citing “continued revenue headwinds in our linear business” as results fell short of Wall Street expectations. ⛰️ Paramount Global co-CEO Chris McCarthy said while the company will continue to invest in 101 Studios and its Taylor Sheridan-created productions, especially the Yellowstone franchise, it isn’t looking to acquire the outfit. 💰 Content Partners Capital and Relativity Media have closed a strategic growth financing. Obituaries 🕯️ James Foley, who directed the two Fifty Shades of Grey sequels and several others films including Glengarry Glen Ross and At Close Range, along with Netflix’s House of Cards and multiple Madonna movies and music videos, has died. He was 71. 🕯️ Prolific Czech actor and president of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival Jiri Bartoška has died at the age of 78. A festival spokesperson confirmed the news on Thursday.
