The aircraft, under tow inside the hangar bay, and its tow tractor slipped into the Red Sea as the carrier turned sharply amid the ongoing threat. The jet is part of an extended deployment supporting Operation Rough Rider, the largest U.S. air campaign since the ISIS fight, targeting Houthi missile and drone operators.
