Salboy buys Boddingtons Brewery site ahead of £195m transformation The former site of Boddingtons Brewery has been acquired in a deal that will kick start a near £200m project to construct hundreds of homes. Property developer Salboy has snapped up the 52,700 sq ft site on the northern edge of central Manchester for an undisclosed sum. It plans to bring forward a £195m mixed-use scheme that will span five buildings, including a 26-storey tower. The development will include 556 new homes for sale and rent, 31,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space, rooftop terraces and landscaped gardens. Read the full story here

Capital&Centric to deliver first phase of £70m Littlewoods film studio scheme Capital&Centric has signed a deal to deliver the first phase of the £70m Littlewoods film studio project. The developer has entered into a partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Liverpool City Council. The move comes after the combined authority approved £8m of funding for remediation, design and planning for the project as part of a total funding package of £17m. Read the full story here

Former Signature Living venue sold to Liverpool bar and leisure operator for £2.5m A Liverpool venue formerly run by Signature Living has been sold to a bar and leisure group in the city for £2.5m. JSM Group has acquired Alma De Cuba, which is set in a Grade II-listed, 18th century building in Seel Street. The sale was overseen by Kroll Advisory and CBRE's Manchester operational real estate team after the venue entered administration in May 2022. Read the full story here
