| TOYKO -- As China pours money into Africa through its Belt and Road infrastructure initiative, Japan will look to promote regional growth by helping foster talent with expertise in a wide range of fields. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will lay out the plans at the two-day Tokyo International Conference on African Development set to begin Saturday in Tunisia. The emphasis on developing human resources will cover such sectors as infrastructure, medicine and health, agriculture, and business. Kishida, who tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend, has canceled plans to travel to the conference and will participate virtually. Read here
