Sellers of ultra-luxury homes in Dubai are looking to take advantage of high asking prices, resulting in more than 50 listings for residences asking AED 100 million (US$27.2 million) or more. The luxury segment of the real estate market has been strong since soon after the initial Covid-19 lockdowns began, with "29 transactions of above [AED] 100 million last year for a combined [AED] 6.4 billion," said Mark Castley, chief operating officer at LuxuryProperty.com. Plans for two Fort Lauderdale, Florida, towers with steel "exoskeletons" have been revealed by the New York City-based architecture studio ODA. The project—part of Flagler Village, a formerly industrial area in the northeast of the city that is now home to numerous art galleries and residential blocks—will have a wide base with two tapered structures covered in a steel grid and surrounded by balconies. Australian screenwriter and director Wain Fimeri is selling his home in Altona, a suburb of Melbourne, with a guide price of A$1.6 million to A$1.7 million (US$1.15 million to US$1.22 million).
